Practicing in the Central Valley for nearly 35 years, Jim has established himself as one of the preeminent civil litigators in Central California.
Originally from the Mid-West, Jim Emerson gained some street smarts as an enlisted man in the Navy before starting college and embarking on his legal career in California. He began his practice handling automobile injury defense cases in 1971, and by 1978, had expanded his practice to include other areas of liability defense and general litigation.
His formidable records of over 100 jury trials has earned him an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell and membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), International Society of Barristers (ISOB) and the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL) (All by invitation only organizations).
Admitted to practice in all California state and federal courts, Jim’s practice is concentrated in the following areas:
